This is the first Phys &amp;amp; Sim WG meeting after the Summer break in 2018.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Current status of physics simulation software is summarized:&lt;br /&gt;
* [[:Media:Sctau_softwareintro_01.pdf | Introduction to SCTau software development]] by '''Dmitry Maksimov'''. Everyone is encouraged to begin work within the Aurora framework (see [[Software git workflow]] and [[Workflow quick reference]] pages). Event generators (EvtGen, Pythia, Tauola, Photos) are installed. Detector description and DD4Hep+Geant4 based simulation is to be developed.&lt;br /&gt;
* '''Lev Shekhtman''' presented [[:Media:IToptions.pdf|preliminary estimates]] for different inner tracker options in view of registration of soft tracks. TPC would provide the minimal momentum threshold (about 55 MeV/c for pions). Other options are not significantly worse providing about 70 MeV/c threshold. It is question to Physics Case if this difference is significant.&lt;br /&gt;
* [[:Media:VijayanandKV_InnerTrackerSim.pdf | Inner tracker simulation status]] by '''Vijayanand'''. TPC inner tracker geometry is implemented with DD4Hep. A straw tubes inner tracker geometry is being implemented.&lt;br /&gt;

Discussion:&lt;br /&gt;
* The inner tracker options with full simulation should be studied before the upcoming meeting in Orsay (beginning of December)&lt;br /&gt;
* Event generators for the main background events are needed to be installed&lt;br /&gt;
** Radiative Bhabha (???)&lt;br /&gt;
** Two-photon production of e+e- pairs (diag36 berends, ...)&lt;br /&gt;
** Beam background (GuineaPig++, ...). The Belle II experience and software should be used&lt;br /&gt;
* Dmitry, Feodor, Vijayanand and Timofey will implement several options of inner tracker in the Aurora framework. This is going to be a useful experience for other subsystems&lt;br /&gt;
* An important task is to study thin coil option&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It is decided to hold biweekly Phys &amp;amp; Sim WG meetings. The preliminary schedule is September 21st, October 5th, etc.&lt;br /&gt;
